RE #7: I don't recall an NGS using "Homeoffice" to refer to anything other than working from home. If they were to refer to an office in their home, it would likely be something akin to "Arbeitszimmer" -- at least that's what my husband uses to refer to our study-cum-home office where I now spend my work days. (Unless, of course, someone is trying to be "trendy" and says something like "Ich mache Homeoffice in meinem Homeoffice" (or however that would be "correctly" said).)

Well, not literally, but the reality is that many who work from home do work from somewhere that does not include a proper desk and does not take place in a room. (And, yes, I have office colleagues who, at least in the first weeks after we were all sent home to work if we could, had their computers set up on their kitchen table. One even had their computer set up on a night stand. Such is the reality of working from home.)
