Die Goldkehl-Sonnennymphe (Heliangelus micraster) oder manchmal auch Zwergturmalin-Sonnennymphe (oder auch Zwerg-Turmalinsonnennymphe) ist eine Vogelart aus der Familie der Kolibris (Trochilidae). Die Art hat ein großes Verbreitungsgebiet, das etwa 20.000 Quadratkilometer in den südamerikanischen Ländern Ecuador und Peru umfasst. Der Bestand wird von der IUCN als nicht gefährdet (Least Concern) eingeschätzt.
Merkmale
Die männliche Goldkehl-Sonnennymphe erreicht eine Körperlänge von etwa 11 Zentimetern, während das Weibchen mit ca. 9,5 bis 10 Zentimetern etwas kleiner ist. Der gerade, schwarze Schnabel wird ca. 15 Millimeter lang. Das Oberteil ist funkelnd grün. Der Scheitel hebt sich hiervon durch ein strahlendes helleres Grün ab. Postokular (hinter den Augen) hat der Kolibri einen eher unauffälligen weißen Tupfen. Der Untersteiß (Crissum) ist auffällig weiß. Der schwarzblaue Schwanz ist gabelförmig. ...

Identification & Behavior: ~11 cm (4.3 in). The male Little Sunangel (AKA Flame-throated Sunangel) is dark green with a small post-ocular white spot and green iridescent frontlet or forehead. The gorget in iridescent orange. The gorget in the female is iridescent orange on the bottom half and whitish on the upper half and throat. The underparts are grayish-green. The tail is dark and notched. The undertail coverts are white. The small size and iridescent orange gorget are diagnostic but see Amethyst-throated Sunangel.

The flame-throated sunangel or little sunangel (Heliangelus micraster) is a species of hummingbird in the "brilliants", tribe Lesbiini of subfamily Lesbiinae. It is found in Ecuador and Peru.[2][3][4]
Taxonomy and systematics
The flame-throated sunangel has been considered conspecific with the gorgeted sunangel (H. exortis).[5] It has two subspecies, the nominate H. m. micraster and H. m. cutervensis.[2]
