Leistungsfähige Werkzeugverwaltung

Correct?

efficient/high performance tool management

Examples/ definitions with source references
Leistungsfähige Werkzeugverwaltung

Comment
The customer (previous translation by someone with a German surname) says:

Leistungsfähige Werkzeugverwaltung für maximale Produktivitat der Maschine

Efficient tool management for maximum machine productivity

(Das System) bietet eine leistungsfähige Werkzeugverwaltung für die Aktivierung von Ersatzwerkzeugen

(The system) offers efficient tool management for the activation of replacement tools.

(cf. http://www.hedelius.de/deutsch/produkte_d/Sho...)

However, I don't automatically associate efficient with leistungsfähig (for example, to me a Formula 1 racing car is leistungsfähig, but it is certainly not efficient).

I guess in this context it means "high capacity". The "Werkzeugverwaltung" might be a computer programme (<= das System).

high performance = geht schnell
efficient = effizient -> viel mit wenig Aufwand
powerful = leistungsfähig -> kann viel

Sag ich.

Hallo lemonbabe, Deine Pfeile sind aber auch schön !! :-)

OK, danke. Dann geht Eurer Meinung nach efficient, obwohl es durchaus high performance software bzw. high performance computing gibt?

@Sly: Yes, it is a computer programme.

PS. What do the other Brits and Americans say on this one?

Nö, hab' ich nicht gesagt, daß efficient geht....

Ich hab' high capacity gesagt. :-)

Hallo Sly, jetzt wo ich weiß, wie es geht... :-)

@DW: I'm always switching, depending on the content I want to express (as tried to show in #2)
So for
"Leistungsfähige Werkzeugverwaltung für maximale Produktivitat der Maschine"
I would go for high-performance, because this is the main focus here, isn't it?
whereas
"bietet eine leistungsfähige Werkzeugverwaltung für die Aktivierung von Ersatzwerkzeugen"
my feeling says: many features for activating replacement tools, so I'm drawn to "powerful"
And in this context I can't see any "efficient" :-)

OK, thanks. Sorry I misunderstood you. I could also not see any reason or justification to say efficient and also immediately thought of high performance.

agree with ResCan - in this case, leistungsfähig = effective

Thanks. How about it we're talking about machining cycles? Here efficient strikes me as plausible, at least.

To me, this has to be "powerful simulation", but then again, high performance is popular on Google too, and both lists of hits contain fauilry relevant stuff:

52,200 for "Powerful simulation"
http://www.google.com/search?num=50&hl=en&new...

39,700 for "high performance simulation"
