wird in Schottland bzw England genutzt um zu sagen, dass man bei einem offiziell lizensierten Laden (der Alkohol verkauft) vorbeischauen will, d.h. das man dort den Alkohol nicht im Laden trinken darf (und nicht wie im Pub ueblich drinnen).

LEO already has entries for 'off-licence' and 'pop down the chippie.' (Both BE, by the way; in AE it would be 'liquor store' and 'run down/up/over TO the ______' -- though it wouldn't be a chippie because we don't really have local fish-and-chip shops, just fast-food chains.)

If BE speakers can support 'offy' as colloquial for 'off-licence,' then it would probably be smarter to add that one word instead of a whole sentence.

Ja, das finde ich gut. Da ich das von mehreren BE speakern bestaetigt bekommen habe, dass man das Wort nutzt, sehe ich da keinen Grund es nicht in LEO einzufuegen.
