    Source Language Term

Eine Reisevermittlung ist ein Unternehmen, welches Reisen an den Endverbraucher vermittelt.

    Correct?

Travel agents are enterprises that convey trips to the end user.

    Examples/ definitions with source references
    convey
    1. to make feelings etc. known to someone
    2. to take/carry/transport sb/sth from one place to another

I feel insecure with the use of "to convey" here. I looked it up and it is translated with "vermitteln". Nevertheless I'm not sure if you can use it in this context. I just know it from sentences like for example "his behavior conveys a feeling of insecurity".

Can I translate it like this? It sounds awkward to me.

"To convey" bezieht sich eher auf geistige Inhalte.

You may convey feelings but not goods.

Vermitteln is a German word that I find very difficult to translate. I believe in your context broker and act as a broker might make sense.

By the way, how did you translate Reisevermittlung?

What exactly is a Reisevermittlung compared to Reisebüro or Reisegesellschaft? I don't know the German term, which makes it even more difficult to translate.

Would it be possible to translate vermitteln with sell?

'that arranges trips for the consumer.'

    -

'welches Reisen an den Endverbraucher vermittelt.'

A travel agency is an enterprise that arranges trips for the consumer.

'Arrange' sounds fine here. 'Consumer' is better than 'end-user', though.

@Silvia, just for the record, you can convey goods, otherwise they'd have to come up with another name for conveyer belts.

To be fair, I agree it wouldn't commonly be used in that way! ;)
