    a *fine serrate* shirt sounds most uncomfortable, and wouldn't be understood at all!

    ITS textile dictionary and Hohenadel Textil-W'buch both support "fine rib"

    For AE, I tend to agree with xo that it should probably be 'ribbed.' It might be still more idiomatic to describe the *fabric* as ribbed (ribbed cotton, ribbed corduroy) rather than the shirt as a whole.

    'Serrated' is clearly wrong, since it's used only of cutting implements like saws or knives.

    'Rib shirt' could give the false impression that it's made of, or contains, bones from the chest area, analogous to, say, 'rib roast.'
