Windows Phone 7 App
- This is a browser-based (not "native") app based on pda.leo.org.
- The screenshots in the user guide may vary from your smart-phone.
Features and functionality
- The app is available for all LEO dictionaries. Accessing the dictionaries via the Windows Phone 7 application draws on the same content as a search on dict.leo.org.
- In the current version, search matches are not displayed in bold and results are not hyperlinked.
Pinning the app to the start screen
After downloading the app, the LEO icon appears in your list of apps (fig. 1), from which you can pin it to the start screen. Simply tap and hold the app and then tap pin to start or - if you want to remove it from your smart-phone again -uninstall. Fig. 2 shows the LEO icon on the start screen after the app was successfully pinned to start.

While the app loads, the start screen appears as in fig. 1 before changing to the search screen as displayed in fig. 2 which includes the options Suche (search), Sprache (language) and - if you flick the screen to the left - Info.

If the search screen is activated (default), tap the search box and enter a search term via the pop-up keyboard (fig. 1). Tap Search to send the query to the dictionary and the results appear as in fig. 2.
Selecting Sprache takes you to an overview of available dictionaries. In the default setting, the app opens the German-English dictionary.
