I thought bite splints were meant to prevent bruxism. Thanks...I will try look around a little more.

Is a "retainer" what you're looking for? That's what our kids' orthodontist calls the thingie the kids wear before they get braces on their teeth.
(Had to look up bruxism, didn't know we had a word for grinding your teeth!)

I don't think it is a retainer, as this is meant to decrease snoring.

The medical term is an Occlusal splint. See the link below for an explanation and picture. I hope this helps.
