Es gibt ein Lied von den Sex Pistols auf der LP/CD "Great Rock´n´Roll Swindle", mit dem Titel "Friggin´ in the Riggin". Dies heisst soviel wie "Sex in der Takelage".

This is a (participial) adjective, not the progressive form of the verb frig, thus has absolutely nothing whatever to do with sexual intercourse in the context given by aha.

To my knowledge, it doesn't come from the French, either. Rather, it was coined by Norman Mailer for his historical novel Armies of the Night, published at a time (1968) when 'fucking' was not publishable by the mainstream press, so he created this as a substitute.

Everyone knew what he meant, and it sounded believable, coming out of the mouths of soldiers in the book.

At the time he wrote the word, no one actually spoke it, but since then it has also entered the spoken language essentially for the same reason it was useful to Mailer--there are conditions in which you can get by with saying "frigging" where "fucking" would be a serious faux pas.

Im täglichen Umgang mit amerikanischen Soldaten habe ich den Gebrauch von friggin ausschließlich als "halblegalen" Ersatz für "fucking" kennengelernt. So kann z.B. der Gebrauch des Ausdruckes (Fluches) "fucking" im Beisein von weiblichen Soldaten als "Sexual Harassment" bestraft werden. Deshalb wird gerne "friggin" genommen.

Das Wort findet sich bei Marina Lewycka, Two Caravans in folgendem Kontext: " You keep shacklin' while I find some friggin' gloves" (p. 142)

In diesem Zusammenhang jedenfalls kein sexueller Bezug erkennbar.

Ich denke es kommt einfach auf den Sinnzusammenhang an...
Bei aha wäres also einfach nur verdammt.

Wobei vile sagen, dass frigging noch schlimmer sei als fucking zumindest in England.

im sinne von "to frig" wohl altertümlich für "reiben" oder auch "ficken"

als adjektiv:
ich glaub es ist eine absichtliche falschschreibung oder verballhornung von dem wort "freaking" welches auf gleiche weise benutzt wird

Ich kenne das Wort aus England, und zwar von Leuten, die wohl von Norman Mailer nie gehört haben. Es heißt dort so etwas wie "verdammt". Irgendwelche sexuellen Bezüge sind mir unbekannt.

Ich kenne es auch nur als "Verniedlichung" von "fucking" als Fluchwort, so wie "verflixt" o.ä.
