    UK university grades

    Comment
    Hi!

Could anyone point me in the direction of a website that gives German equivalents for UK university grades? I can only find A-Level ones!

Or failing that, could you tell me how your would translate 2:1 into German? I need to translate my CV into German and am totally stuck on this. Please help!

    Thanks!

bevalish, I have an upper second too, I never translated it on my German CV but called it by its full, pompous and hopefully impressive name: Upper Second Class Honours Degree. (I am employed at present, I hasten to add, and have been employed by various German companies ever since my degree, with a break for going forth and multiplying in between, so it seems to have worked).
You could put the Bachelor of Arts / Science / Divinity / whatever somewhere on there too, as these degrees are getting introduced in Germany now and should be familiar to Personnel Officers.

Thanks Spinatwachtel. I'll just put the full English title then.

    It's a Bachelor of Arts. :-)

For your purpose, I would support Spinatwachtels suggestion.

So just in case someone asks you about it: on the German 1 to 6 scale, this would probably be considered a "2" (somehow depending on the university you went to).
