    Is is correct? (Which of the following words does it not exist?)
    1) the greenhouse effect / the hothouse effect / the glasshouse effect = der Treibhauseffekt / der Glashauseeffekt / die Glashauswirkung / die Treibhauswirkung
    2) the greenhouse gas / the hothouse gas / the glasshouse gas
    = das Treibhausgas / das Glashausgas / das Gewächshausgas
    3)the greenhouse gas emission / the emission of greenhouse gases = die Treibhausgas-Emission (Treibhausgasemission) / die Emission von Treibhausgasen / der Treibhaus-Ausstoß (Treibhausausstoß) / der Ausstoß von Treibhausgasen ( Is " Ausstoß" in this case only in singular? Emissionen von Treibhausgasen = Ausstöße von Treibhausgasen)

    When is it correct to be used " greenhouse..., glasshouse... or hothouse..." respectively "Treibhaus- / Glashaus- / Gewächshaus-" in compound words?

    In English:

    When talking about climate change:
    greenhouse effect, 
    greenhouse gases (usually in the plural)
    greenhouse gas emissions (usually in the plural).
    You can't use "hothouse" or "glasshouse" in this context.

    As far as growing vegetables is concerned, I would say that:
    - Greenhouse is the most common word for the greenhouse in your garden.
    - Glasshouse is a less common synonym for "greenhouse"
    - A hothouse, strictly speaking, is a greenhouse with heating. My local supermarket sells "hothouse lettuces". The expression "hothouse" is often associated generally with making things grow at an extra-fast rate, cf.

    ("Respectively" is always a bad translation for "bzw.". Here you would write a / and say "stroke".)

    zu "bzw." hat der "Leitfaden für eine bessere Schreibweise" der Firma Rohde & Schwarz schon in den 80er Jahren des letzten Jahrhunderts ausgesagt:
    Wo möglich, sollte das "bzw." ersetzt werden durch "oder".

    Der Begriff Glashaus ist eher unüblich geworden, im Bezug auf gartenbauliche Produkte wie Tomaten und Gurken spricht man eher von "Gewächshaus"gemüse oder Unterglasgemüse. Das "Treibhaus" bezieht sich meiner Meinung doch eher auf den klimatischen Effekt.

    Ein Glashaus ist mehr das Gebäude. Egal zu welchem Zweck.
    Im Treibhaus zieht man kleine Pflanzen groß, die dann später ins Freie dürfen.
    Im Gewächshaus zwar auch, doch es kann durchaus sehr groß sein und eine Pflanzensammlung beherbergen. Im Gewächshaus kann man auch direkt ernten.

    Weitere Begriffe sind:
    Warmhaus (wenig gebräuchlich) oder Tropenhaus: Hier werden Pflanzen und dazu passende Tiere gehalten und Besuchern im Zoo präsentiert.

    Wenn ein ganz normaler Hobbygärtner ein "Glashaus" in seinem Garten stehen hat, wird er normalerweise von seinem Gewächshaus sprechen.

    Für den Klimaeffekt ist m. E. nur Treibhauseffekt üblich. Daher Treibhausgase, auf keinen Fall Gewächs-/Glashausgase. Und Treibhaus ist für mich auch das "normale" Wort zur Bezeichnung der Glashäuser einer Gärtnerei. Gewächshaus habe ich immer als etwas fachsprachlicher angesehen, Glashaus als sehr allgemeine Bezeichnung (wie Puppengesicht), die aber vor allem im Sprichwort "Wer im Glashaus sitzt, sollte nicht mit Steinen werfen" vorkommt.

    Zum Plural: Ausstöße würde ich nicht sagen, Emissionen schon (besonders wenn z. B. verschiedene Gase, Verursacher usw. gemeint sind), kann das aber nicht begründen.
