start/end or starting/finishing date or time

    Comment
    Dear native speakers,
I am struggling to find out what is used more commonly for Start- und Enddatum and Start- und Endzeit.
I am translating a software that provides calenders where you select the start and end date and time for e.g. a project period.

    Should I use:
    start and end date
    starting and finishing date
    start and end time
    starting and finishing time

I kind of prefer start and end date, but for the time I think starting and finishing time sounds nicer. However, I would like the interface to be consistent. An advantage of using start and end would be that it is shorter and takes up less space on the interface.

I hope someone can help me out here. Thank you so much.

(sorry, if this is the wrong forum, I am new here)

I think you can just use "start and end date" and "start and end time".
