Afaik we use the normal and short o pronouncing _Gott_. I never heard anything _Gatt_-like. But then I only know the West and Berlin. Sometimes people tend to pronounce it less accurately when using a saying like "Ach Gott ach Gott", but still it should read o.

@ Daddy- ich hatte nicht das Gefühl, gmp wollte irgendetwas in die Sprache einführen. Es ging für mich eher um Dialekt. Ich habe auch nie "Gatt" für "Gott" gehört, aber es ist bestimmt nicht unvorstellbar, daß Vokaltöne, auch bei dem Wort, von Gegend zu Gegend unterschiedlich sein können. Sie sind es sogar.(Ich wohne mitten in "de Palz"- sie sagen hier nicht "Weißt du" sondern "Wehsche"- ein komplett anderer Vokalton):)
