    Which is correct?

Why can LEO dictionary entries not provide the correct (or usual) preposition(s) for such cases by default?

it's usually a capacity to do sth. and a capacity for (noun), i.e.:

    a capacity for love/justice/kids, etc.
    a capacity to love/be just/raise kids, etc.

Either 'for doing' or 'to do,' but not 'of,' I don't think.
