    (at the) front - phrases

    The expression "at the front" is quite frequently used to describe things.

    I wonder if it is okay to use the following phrase:

    (1) At the right side of the front (of a cartoon or picture)you can see [whatever].

    It doesn't sound good to my German ears, but then again, I've just come across
    (2) "At the right side of the cartoon is...", (LEO quote)
    so it might work with 'front' as well.

    What do you think?

    (Oh by the way, I'd also prefer 'On the right side of the cartoon', as opposed to 'at the right side of the chair (meaning next to it))
