    Kann man eigentlich einen Satz mit "Because ..." beginnen?

    Because the weather is bad I stay at home.

    Ich sehe mich gerade mit einem solchen Satz (ein bisschen komplizierter) in einem Textentwurf konfrontiert, aber aus irgendeinem Grund kommt mir das sehr denglisch vor. Sollte ich da eine Änderung vorschlagen?

    Ich würde den Satz dann eher mit "as" anfangen.

    As the weather is bad, I('ll) stay at home.

    Nothing wrong with starting the sentence with "because", but (as I miss Melbourne says), the ending isn't quite right. I'd say:

    1. Because the weather is bad, I'll stay home; or

    2. Because the weather is bad, I'm staying home; or

    3. Because the weather is bad, I'll be staying home.
