I used to work a lot with mosquito repelling products in the past (Autan, Zedan (didn't work in our test model), etc.) Therefore I often got biten. We used a drug called Crotamitex (a.i. crotmiton), which is normally used against scabies (Krätze). It is available in the UK as Eurax also made by Novartis Health Care like Fenistil. crotamiton it is highly effective against itching and works for hours. try it yourself!

How does it work?
Crotamiton belongs to a group of medicines which relieve itching (pruritis).
Itching can be caused by physical irritation or chemical changes in the skin caused by disease, allergy, inflammation, side-effects of drugs, or reaction to irritant substances. It is a common symptom of skin disorders e.g. ezcema.
Also indicated for the treatment of scabies.
