    Hallo an alle,

    ich bin auf der Suche nach einer sinngemäßen Übersetzung von "Rock MY Casbah".
    Im ganzen Satz wärs sowas wie "Baby, you rock my casbah."

    ich kenne selber die übersetzung für casbah und genauso kenne ich den song "rock the casbah" von joe strummer und warum der song gespielt wurde etc.
    aber ich lese des öfteren im internet "you rock my casbah" ich würde gerne wissen wofür das stehen könnte.

    I'm pretty sure it's just referencing the song to say something like, "You rock my world/You turn me on/You keep me wound up." In other words, what the Clash insist you do to the Casbah (rock it) is what person A does to person B.

    My goodness, are you ALL sooooo young not to know this????
    It refers to the song "Rock The Casbah" by The Clash wayyyyyy back in the 80s. The song is about Ayatollah Khomeini's ban on "Western infidel music" defied by the young people of Iran - quite violent confrontations back then.

    Gerade in Season 9 der Simsons gefunden "rock the casbah" wurde hier übersetzt mit "die Puppen tanzen lassen".

    also ich kenn das auch aus Tenacious D und das würd vom sinn her hinhauen was charlie meinte.
