"humor me" means that even though you may not want to do something I'm asking you to do, or you may think it's a stupid thing to do, I would like you to do it anyway. I'm not sure why LEO has "nach dem Mund reden." I've never heard it used in that sense.

This is another meaning of "to humour someone", as in "He said he would check my symptoms, but I know he thought I was a hypochondriac and was just humouring me".

For the imperative, could you say something like 'Tue mir bitte (trotzdem) den Gefallen'?

(... mich ernst zu nehmen / so zu tun, als würdest du mir glauben / mich entgegenzukommen / diese Möglichkeit in Erwägung zu ziehen / usw.)

This is an old thread, but I think #2 and #4 suggest there may be a BE/AE usage difference. A bit hard to explain, but I don't think "humour someone would be synonymous with "do a (reasonable) favour" in BE. The point of "...humour..." is that the wishes of the "humored" are unreasonable/crazy etc.
