@willi: Basically, you are right, but be aware that "during" and "on the occasion of" are synonyms denoting the time when something happens.

However, "im Zuge" is only used to describe two things that are interrelated and that happen during a longer period of time (building projects, changes in an organisational structure etc.). You would never say "im Zuge seines Studiums verdiente er sich als Kellner etwas dazu", because the two things are not interrelated, or "im Zuge des Essens wurde ihm schlecht", because this relates to a short period of time.
