googling for 'no risk, no fun' alone gets over 86,000 hits.
none at all for .au, .nz, .cn and only 11 for .uk in conjunction with .ie
of the 86000 hits, nearly 50,000 are for .de sites.
with .com it's still 19,000 hits, whereas nine of the first ten are German sites.
but the usage is as in Germany
in my personal experience I first heard the term in Germany, from a German, and had no problems at all understanding the term itself, and its difference to 'nothing ventured, nothing gained' |
