    This must be some idiomatic German expression. I can't imagine what it means, but if someone can explain it, I might be able to tell you how best to express the idea in English.

    @ Joe: Maybe Sarah B's suggestion explains it: It's something a goalie might say if the opposition almost scored a goal but he just managed to save them all!

    Support kitty: that's what it means.

    A goalkeeper says it when the strikers (or other players) ALMOST manage to score a goal...but don't succeed.
