It's a little relative, but here's an idea:

Are you as snowed in as we are here in Bavaria?

    (Wait for more replies!)

Are you snowed in, too, like we are ...?

(#2, a "too" in commas is not good style, and also confining.
    Don't recommend that.)

that's just rubbish, opine. Reading some of your own threads I'd say you should probably be the last person on LEO to give style advice.

Do tell. I wouldn't put a "too" in commas. I don't agree with your #2.

Edinburgh was snowed in with 25 cm snow. No schools, many not on work, no buses, no ambulances, nothing. No, the snow did not fall on one day ...
And now petrol stations without fuel ...

Last year was Dublin snowed in. With 3 cm snow. HAHAHA.

It is not everyone's taste to set off too in commas, but it certainly is correct and in some cases necessary.

In #2, the comma after too is required in any case, and the addition of one before it aids clarity.

    Bob C., The construction is:
    -- so XXX wie YYY
    -- as XXX as YYY

Seid Ihr auch so eingeschneit wie wir hier in Bayern?

I wouldn't box a "too" in like that (with commas). That's my humble opinion. Peace.
    (Heck ... I wouldn't even use a "too". See my #1.)

you've already pointed that out in #3 and #6, opine. No need to repeat yourself endlessly (again).

Besides, the "so" in the OP is not necessarily a direct comparison that would require "as ... as ..." in English. It is frequently employed as a sort of fill word without any further implications.

    That's why. You wrote that.

Why do you feel a "too" in commas is relevant here? --> ,too,
    #11Authoropine (680211) 10 Dec 10, 15:20
    Comment
Because I feel the way Bob C. feels in his #8.

Then why not: Are you also snowed in like we are here in Bavaria?

EDIT: In relatively short sentences like that I do not recommend putting a "too" in commas. It's not necessary, and it blocks the flow of the thought.

with all due respect, opine, but you block the flow of most any thought.

I would put a comma before the "as":

Are you also snowed in, as we are here in Bavaria?

If I were writing more formally and editing carefully, I would delete the superfluous also:

Are you snowed in, as we are here in Bavaria?

Your insults roll off my shoulders, dude. Some are cute.

It's an "as much as" construction for me. Replace "much" with XXX.

Reverse question. Should there be a comma in the German version?

"Nee, nur die, die, auf der Liste stehen."

Hier hat opine, der/die oben so heftig gegen (legitime) Kommas kämpfte, selbst einmal ein Komma zu viel gesetzt. So muss es heißen:

"Nee, nur die, die auf der Liste stehen."
