On charts, if you absolutely have to abbreviate the word, you will see "EE" for "employee" and "ER" for "employer". It is not a widely known abbreviation outside of the accounting department, though.

Ja, zumindest in meinem Dunstkreis ist MA als Abkürzung für Mitarbeiter (nebenbei bemerkt - Mitarbeitende ist mir als Substantiv nicht geläufig - ist das Schweizerdeutsch?) absolut üblich.

@ zopfi: Mitarbeitende wird in der Schweiz als neutrale (politisch korrekte?) Form gebraucht, um männlich/weiblich in einem Aufwasch zu nennen
