    Ein idiom: Der Name ist Programm

    Context/ examples
    Allseits beliebt: ein idiom!

    Fällt jemandem etwas ein für "Der Name ist Programm" oder "Er hält was sein Name verspricht" Wenn ich letzteres wörtlich übersetze, klingt es werblich ziemlich lahm... Und ersteres kann ich wohl kaum wörtlich übersetzen.

    Hat das jemand schon gehabt?

    The Ronseal ad came to my mind as well, but I don't know that the expression will be understood outside the UK. Shame, because it's really taken hold here.

    That's why I chose the first translation. It's for a catalogue that will be spread worldwide. So I have to consider the non-native speakers resp. readers as well!

    southersun, catalogues may take more than one year to go to print under a Southern sun where activities are slow, but in the cooler Central European climate the printing shop gets the order in no time, so you are probably somewhat late with your response.
