On a calory table it says "Käse - 50% Fett i.Tr.". What does the abbrev. stand for?

Fett i. Tr. ist die Abkürzung für "Fettgehalt in der Trockenmasse" von Käse.

Thank you but I am translating a calorie table...any suggestions how to translate it. I am not a nutritionist...but I have never seen or heard of that on English Calorie Tables.

@Flitze...is that a random or official translation? Do you have a link? Sorry, I really need to be certain. I dont get any clear hits when googling FDM that refer to food.

    FDM
The Fat in Dry Matter (FDM) content is indicated on all cheese packages. The reason why the fat content is given with regard to the dry matter, is that the water content of the cheese declines during maturation and storage.

Sorry, I didn't realize you were looking for a translation.
I agree with Flitze, but you should use capitals.

@Lena: "offiziell" ist es (von meiner Seite) nicht. Hab es auch nur ergoogelt.
