It seems a little odd to me that you're trying to describe a product that is defective because of a bad smell as "auffällig" and the non-defective products as "unauffällig."
That's weird in German and it's weird in English. So what exactly is this product? Maybe it will help us understand what you're really trying to say because, so far, I don't get it.
