    Actually, "Ms." is used pretty much universally in business correspondence, no matter what the age of the lady (unless there is a special request to the contrary) - at least in AE

    That's why I'm suggesting it :-)
    I mean an elderly lady or especially a widow might prefer Mrs., so if cchris knows he's writing to an old married lady then Mrs. is OK, otherwise I think Ms. is better.
