Ich hab's auch gerade nachgeschlagen, Ferenczi. Meiner Meinung nach ist das eher sogar ein Fall für das Wrong-Entry-Forum.

Anyway, ...leaved might have been the original version and ...leaf is possibly what remained due to 'Mundfaulheit'...

@Daddy - Not sure about the "Mundfaulheit" aspect, but just know that that is what we (family, friends, relatives) have always called them.

I'll ask my wife about it, but she's gone to bed already and so will I.
