Tut mir leid, aber ea sollte "verdickte Herzscheidewand" sein, deswegen habe ich dies hier nicht in "suche in allen Foren" gefunden. Das muss ich im Jahr 2003 schon mal gefragt haben. Damals wurde mir als Anwort "septal hypertrophy" gegeben.

"interventricular septum" ist die Herzscheidewand; "septal hypertrophy" ist eine Verdickung (Hypertrophie) dieser Herzscheidewand.

"verdickte Herzscheidewand" ist "hypertrophic(al) (interventricular) septum". Auch "hypertrophied septum".

Just to answer the original post for the archives :-)

It depends on the context and sentence structure - "valve hypertrophy" may fit, but I would describe eine verdickte Herzklappe as a "thickened mitral/aortic/tricuspid/pulmonary/heart valve" or simply as a "thickened valve".

Re verdickte Herzscheidewand: the condition is (asymmetric) "septal hypertrophy" while the structure itself can be described as a "thickened interventricular septum"/"hypertrophied interventricular septum" or simply a "thickened/hypertrophied septum".
It often runs in families.
