I am not sure if I fully understand "Schimpftiriade". If you mean to say that somebody starts cursing at everything and everybody and it is hard to stop this person "to curse a blue streak" comes close.

This is a very colloquial usage from American English, but "hissy fit" seems to capture the sense of "Schimpftirade" pretty well - someone having a huge fit, often with the sense of it being petty.

"Schimpftirade" isn't a "fit" i.e. a sudden change of mood.

Just "tirade" or "tirade of abuse" if you want to translate "Schimpf-," which is a little redundant in English.
