    I can fin this statement all over the net, but only in German.
    I am not able to get the corresponding English version of the same anywhere.
    Does anybody have the link of the authentic English version of these sentences?
    My Googling skills are inadequate here :(

    At least in AE, the common word for this context is "excerpt." Or perhaps "abstract."

    HappyWarrior: My first hunch was "excerpt", and I had already sent it like that. Only after I had noticed that the Swiss guys use "extract" I changed the entry, to be in line with them.

    The Swiss guys are those administering the Swiss website. Ask them why they use the word they use.
