As shown above, in an article on available options when faced with a damaged cylinder head in an expensive collector's item vehicle, the headline of the article (1) says Rekonstruktion, but in the rest of the article, it alternates between Nachkonstruktion, as in (2), and immediately after that line, Nachkonstruktion again as in (3), and again, immediately after that Rekonstruktion as in (4).

I'm not sure if the author is deliberately differentiating between two different words/meanings -- and so I should too -- or whether the author essentially is talking about the same thing but using two different terms (I've seen that often before; I think its called inconsistency).

And I am wondering whether the translation here would be similar to the translation of "nachbauen", which in general is copying, but more technically reverse engineering.

My working approach to this is currently to treat them both as intended to mean the same, and I am translating them as "remake".

Thanks in advance to anyone who may be closer to the area of engine making/repairs, and may have a clearer idea of the practical meaning of these two words and translations for them than I do.
