Vielleicht:

"Perform maintenance (tasks)"

"Führen Sie* die Wartung durch." klingt wie ein Befehl, ein Punkt innerhalb einer Aufzählung, nicht wie eine Headline. Daher bin ich für "Perform maintenance."

Es sind mehrere Arbeitsanweisungen (Befehle) die ein Techniker an einem Gerät machen muss:

1. Schalten Sie das Gerät aus.

2. Öffnen Sie das Gerät.

3. Führen Sie die Wartung durch.

4. Schließen Sie das Gerät

5. Schalten Sie das Gerät ein.

Mein Vorschlag: Carry out the maintenance.

Das geht auch kürzer.

Switch off device.

Open device.

Perform maintenance.

Close device.

Switch on device.

In STE the verb "perform" is not allowed. That is why I suggested "Do the maintenance".

Switch off device? Is this a device or does the device has to be switched off?

Add the article (Switch off the device).

- Do periodic maintenance

- Do routine maintenance

- Do planned / scheduled maintenance

optionally: upkeep, service, or care although these might words might not be permitted in Simplified Technical English..

If the device is electrically powered, then an instruction  similar to Switch / TURN OFF DEVICE, such as "REMOVE  (electrical) power to the device" should be stated.
