Das gibt es in GB nicht.
Vielleicht: Official confirmation of residence (?)

Doesn't exist in the US either. Reinhard's suggestion is good, or maybe "proof of residence", but that isn't as formal.

Oh yes, it DOES exist in UK
It's called an "entry into the Electoral Roll"

@ laalaa You can only get onto the Electoral Roll in the UK if you are resident when the Electoral Roll is compliled annually - between about August and October. Usually the Electoral Roll begins on about 15th October for the following year. If you move house in the meantime, then you are still on the Electoral Roll for the first area until the following year's ER is compiled. This is not the same as official confirmation of residence, as far as I can see, though it might be able to be used in that way if you are a long-term resident at a particular address.

Stay away from the electoral roll as that applies only to citizens who have the right to vote. Minors and foreigners are still residents and thus registered in some countries, but would never find their names on electoral rolls. "Meldebestaetigung" contains three key words to be considered: The REGISTRATION of a person's RESIDENCE and the OFFICIAL CONFIRMATION of this registration, i.e. "by law you are required to register your residence, we are hereby confirming that you fulfilled your duty." Can someone find a good term meeting all these criteria?

Compulsory registration - used to be Ordnungsamt, today Stadtbuero
Obligation to register (when moving from the old place of residence to another)
    Meldeschein - Registration Form
    Meldezettel - certificate of registration
    Comment
Since this is a "Bestaetigung" - Verfication - you might want to try "certified official copy of registration form", if it is a copy or simply go by "Certificate of Registration" as this might be the form you are talking about. Or as Reinhard stated "Official Confirmation or official verification of"

@Harper: Meldebestätigung is the same thing as Meldezettel.
