'underestimated' is the best, I think.

I'm afraid I have to disagree with CVB - I really wouldn't have expected that of you! sounds negative to my ears.

Ja, stimmt. Wenn ich es mir genau überlege ist das wirklich eher negativ. Allerdings würde ich auch "ich habe mich in dir getäuscht" eher erwarten, wenn ich jemanden ENTtäuscht habe...
