    roter faden

    Context/ examples
Ein System durch das sich etw. durchzieht wie ein roter Faden.

    Am konkreten Beispiel:
... These provided the framework for establishing a value-based management system through which continuous and sustainable improvements in the corporate value added pervade like a "roter faden".

Also, irgendwie weiß ich nicht wie ich mich ausdrücken soll... Ausserdem, finde ich, dass sich das verdammt deutsch anhört.

Ich bin für alle Vorschläge offen.

A system through which something runs like a central thread.

    Central theme/leitmotif are possible alternatives

Incidentally, there appears to be something missing from your English text

"in the corporate value added pervade like a ".. makes no sense.

    Korrektur:

    Am konkreten Beispiel:
... These provided the framework for establishing a value-based management system through which continuous and sustainable improvements OF (not in) the corporate value added runs like a thread.

Macht das mehr Sinn? Ausdrücken wollte ich, dass "continuous and sustainable improvements of corporate value added" sich durch alle elemente dieses systems wie ein roter faden durchzieht.

I still have no idea what "corporate value added" means. . What is the German equivalent?

also, it would have to be "run" (plural)referring back to the improvements

I think I now understand. Put "added" before "corporate value".

"....through which continuous and sustainable improvements in the added corporate value run like a thread."

This is idiomatic English . I would keep improvements *in*
