    Online - nicht dass ich wüsste. Ich hab's selbst (bzw. darf es beruflich nutzen). Kann aber gern noch was für dich nachschlagen :-)

    guck mal "Frackhemd" und "Smokinghemd" für mich nach. Das wär lieb. Für beides hab ich im Englischen bis jetzt nur dress shirt gefunden. im AE natürlich für smokinghemd auch tuxedo shirt.

    Tja, da ist Abraham's leider auch nicht sehr ergiebig - für beide Begriffe wird "dress shirt" vorgeschlagen :-/
    Aber es gab doch erst vor kurzem hier einen Thread zu dem Thema...

    I agree that 'placket' and 'panel' are sewing/tailoring words, more for in-house use than marketing. But doesn't 'band' have the same problem, and worse, doesn't it usually refer to something horizontal, like a collar?

    Why not just 'with concealed buttons'?

    Just researching the same issue, so for future reference - I think "fly front" may be the most commonly used term, or could use "covered placket":
