    Context/ examples
    A cost center where costs are collected and in the end of the month splitted on other cost centers. The "Vorkostenstelle" is balanced in the end of each month.

    Example:
    cost center (cc) 1: 100,--
    bookings on July, 31st:
    50,-- from cc 1 to cc 2
    50,-- from cc 1 to cc 3
    no costs left on cc 1.
    cc 2 and 3 are the final destinations (=Endkostenstelle)

    Eine Vorkostenstelle ist m.W. dasselbe wie eine Hilfskostenstelle (syn.).

    Ich sehe das genauso wie Lutz!
    Eine Vorkostenstelle entspricht einer Hilfskostenstelle.
    In den USA wurde obige Übersetzung benutzt!

    Ich denke, dass die Bezeichnung "Vorkostenstelle" hier nicht glücklich gewählt ist, da dies gar keine Kostenstelle ist, da der monatliche Saldo ja verteilt wird.

    Tatsächlich handelt es sich hier um ein Zwischenkonto, auf dem gewisse Kosten gesammelt werden, die der Kostenstelle 2 und 3 nicht einwandfrei zugerechnet werden können. Der Saldo am Monatsende wird nach irgendeiner Regel (hier: halbe-halbe) auf die Kostenstellen 2 und 3 verteilt. Ich weiss leider nicht, wie solch ein "Zwischenkonto" bzw. "Sammelkonto" auf Englisch heißt.
