    Um die von uns erstellte Rechnung Nr 1 zu annullieren schreibe ich Ihnen eine Stornorechnung.

    ich suche ein Wort aus dem Buchhaltungsbereich:
    für die Rechnung, welche eine vorher erstellte Rechnung vom Betrag her wieder annulliert / rückgängig macht. "credit item" oder " credit note" trifft es nicht ganz, da diese beiden "Gutschrift" bedeuten. Gutgeschrieben werden kann entweder ein Teil des ursprünglichen Betrages oder aber auch der gesammte Betrag. Letzeres wäre dann die "Stornorechnung"! ...sozusagen der "worst case" of "credit note".

    Gibt es im engl. / amerik. Sprachgebrauch überhaupt ein Substantiv dafür oder behilft man sich mit einer Wortkombination?

    Annulieren und Storno, beides heißt "cancellation". Eine Stornorechnung kann man sicherlich auch mit "Bestätigung" (des Stornos) übersetzen und sagen:
    We have cancelled invoice No. 1 and are enclosing the respective confirmation. Statt "confirmation" würde hier allerdings "credit note" bestens passen.

    Also kann Gutschrift und Stornorechnung nicht das selbe heißen- sind 2 ganz unterschiedliche Dinge!

    An invoice created to counter an incorrectly issued invoice by using the same charges but changing them to the opposite sign (positive becomes negative and vice versa). The reverse invoice and the reversed invoice should add up to zero. Such a reverse invoice when posted to the ledger will take the same path as the reversed invoice and create the necessary counterentries to cancel out incorrect entries created by the incorrect invoice.

    This describes a full invoice reversal, for a partial reversal substitute 'invoice' with 'invoice positions'
