Records management, or RM, is the practice of identifying, classifying, archiving, preserving, and destroying records.

The ISO 15489: 2001 standard defines it as "The field of management responsible for the efficient and systematic control of the creation, receipt, maintenance, use and disposition of records, including the processes for capturing and maintaining evidence of and information about business activities and transactions in the form of records".

@dandy: From what you explain, I understand that RM is the activity of maintaining an "Aktenplan", but Sani is asking for one result of that activity.

ok, I agree with records storage plan or file plan. But the common expression for all that is records management (system).

Records Management ist der globale Ausdruck; der "Aktenplan" ist nicht ein Storage Plan, sondern ein "Datenfahrplan", eben der retention schedule.

Da habe ich Zweifel (auch wenn es ein alter Faden ist). Auch die vorherigen Poster scheinen nicht alle zu wissen, was das ist.

Der Aktenplan ist ein hirarchisches System, nach dem Schriftstücke eingeordnet und Akten bezeichnet werden werden. Dabei geht es primär nicht um den Ablageort -das ist nur eine Folge- sondern um die Zuordnung von einzelnen Schriftstücken zu Vorgängen.

In der ISO-Norm 15489 zum Records Management ist "Aktenplan" die deutsche Übersetzung von "file plan".
