If you're following with that with some sort of comparative phrase (like 'she is nevertheless terrible at it'), then yes.

Werner is right. But the original is only a fraction of a sentence. For example: She does this and that and she likes to dance as well.

While you're learning these words, remember that 'too' is very similar, because it also sounds much better at the end of a sentence:

... too. (less formal)
... as well. (more formal, but not a lot)

You will sometimes see native speakers put these at the beginning of a sentence, but it's poor style, so it isn't very common.

There are other words you can use to begin a sentence:

Also, ...
In addition, ...
Moreover, ...
Furthermore, ...

Notice that they all need a comma before the rest of the sentence.
