    Unter einer Eichstichprobe oder auch Normstichprobe versteht man in der empirischen Psychologie jene bei Entwicklung eines Tests herangezogenen Probanden, auf deren Grundlage die Vergleichsmaßstäbe bzw. Bewertungsmaßstäbe normierten berechnet werden.

    Eichstichprobe, die Stichprobe, die bei der Gewinnung von Normwerten für die Testinterpretation herangezogen wird.

    I was just wondering whether Claus had actual knowledge of such terms, not thinking the meaning had changed... although - who knows! I've seen a lot of changes in English over the years :-)
