    @AMS: schöner Link! Aber passt capping nicht besser?
    Capping: A portion of the tablets cup, normally near the apex, does not completely bond and separates from the balance of the tablet.

    @b.f.: Ich bin sicher kein Experte, was dieses Gebiet angeht. Wohl ist auch noch surface cracking möglich:

    Estimation of Capping Incidence by Indentation Fracture Tests

    Static indentation tests were done on these compacts at different depths until surface cracking and chipping were observed.
