My students from ConvaTec are translating "Sanitätshaus" als 'bandagist', which I've never heard before. Can we say that in English?

"Bandagist" is bogus - never heard it!
    "Medical Supplier" is fine.

As has been said several times in other threads (e.g. related discussion: Sanitätshaus ) we don't have such shops or suppliers in England. I think all such "medical supplies" are provided by the NHS, either by the local hospital or the dictrict nurse. That is certainly the case for several people I know.
