It all depends, as I'm sure you can imagine, on context. But from a US perspective:

The stoop is the tiny staircase in front of a house. The stairs is a general term for just that, a bunch of stairs. Staircase sounds more arch., ie. spiral staircase, not stairs, and stairway just makes this native think of Led Zepplin.

meiner Meinung ist stairs ziemlich geläufig... Wie heißt den der ganze Satz? Bekanntlich kommt's ja immer auf den Kontext an :)
