    Please, could you explain the meaning of the following phrases to me?

    1. grün/schwarz sehen,
    2. mit einem blauem blauen Auge davonkommen,
    3. blau machen

    1. grün/schwarz sehen
    I haven't ever heard of "grün sehen", but only "schwarz sehen". This means being pessimistic about something / assuming that something will not have a good ending.

    2. mit einem blauem blauen Auge davonkommen
    This means that something was a close shave / that someone was lucky that things didn't turn out worse.

    3. blau machen
    This means e.g. to skive off work even if you are not sick.
