Knöcherne Absprengung means a bone fragment is visible by x-ray. Any idea, Marianne?

As I repeatedly say, IAN an orthopod
We need more context from PJ.
e.g. which bone - are we still discussing the metacarpals?

    @ miss take
do you mean there is an avulsion fracture?
    or a fracture dislocation?

    Suggestionosteochondritis dissecans
    Comment
In osteochondritis dissecans, a loose piece of bone and cartilage separates from the end of the bone because of a loss of blood supply. The loose piece may stay in place or fall into the joint space, making the joint unstable.

PJ - why didn't you give us the context at the start and spare my speculation? At least I have now learnt the difference between "Sprengung" and "Absprengung"
    :-)

I think Miss Take gave you the answer in #2

    How about:
"Small bone fragment can be seen in ...."
