    Wenn E-Mail, dann "please find attached", wenn Papierbrief, wie von Joe vorgeschlagen.

    "Please find enclosed..." ist für Geschäftsbriefe. Wenn es um einen Anhang für eine E-Mail geht, dann würde ich "please find attached, ...."
    Oder geht es um ganz was anderes?

    @Bacon: Aus diesem Faden geht hervor, dass es genau umgekehrt ist:

    related discussion: enclosed vs attached

    "Just complete the attached form and return it in the envelope provided" (aus dem OALD)

    This is perfectly acceptable, but it doesn't equate with 'enclosed'. If the word 'attached' is used, then it means that the form is physically attached to the letter - perhaps with a paperclip or staple.

    @Bettina: I agree with Bacon.

    All English email applications that I am aware of are calling it "atttachment", not "enclosure".

    Damit lässt sich die Entscheidung für attached oder enclosed umgehen.

    @macpet: This is about business correspondence and not about the individual terminology software developpers use.

    M-A-Z: Indeed it is, and before we continue the wild guessing, TT should give some context about what he/she is intending to say ;-)

    Mag sein, dass die Briten es umgekehrt halten und Landpost mit "attachments" verschicken und Emails mit "enclosures". Jedenfalls ist es definitiv umgekehrt im AE. Hat jemand ein BE Email Programm und heisst der Button zum Anhaengen einer Datei dort "enclose file"?
