    Gottvertrauen (leicht ironisch)

    Natürlich gibt es "trust in god" oder sowas - dazu gab es ja auch schon mal eine Diskussion.
    Aber auf Deutsch kann man "Gottvertrauen" ja auch im Sinne eines nicht rational begründeten Optimismus benutzen:
    "Mit welchem Gottvertrauen er davon ausgeht, dass ihm nichts passieren wird!"

    Hat jemand eine Idee, wie man das ins Englische übertragen kann?

    Na ja, sooo sehr ist es das auf Deutsch ja auch nicht. Das passt schon ganz gut. Danke!

    (Ich hätte keinerlei sinnvollen Vorschlag für das Wort "Gottvertrauen" gehabt, daher meine Frage.)

    Aber wenn man Deine Version im Englischen wiedergibt, wirkt's ein bisschen ironischer schon:

    "What blind faith he has that nothing will happen to him!"
